INT. OLD TOY SHOP - NIGHT
A young couple, MARK (late 20s, adventurous) and LISA (late 20s, cautious), enter the shop. They are greeted by the SHOPKEEPER (elderly, mysterious).
SHOPKEEPER (smiling) Welcome. Looking for something special?
MARK (nodding) Yes, we’re looking for a unique gift for our niece.
LISA (looking around) This place is… interesting.
SHOPKEEPER (pointing to a shelf) I have just the thing. A rare, antique doll.
The shopkeeper hands them a beautiful, old-fashioned doll. Its eyes seem to follow them.
LISA (hesitant) It’s… lovely.
MARK (excited) We’ll take it.
CUT TO:
INT. MARK AND LISA’S HOUSE - NIGHT
The couple places the doll on a shelf in their living room. As they prepare for bed, the doll’s eyes seem to glint in the moonlight.
CUT TO:
INT. MARK AND LISA’S BEDROOM - NIGHTMark and Lisa are asleep. Suddenly, the sound of soft footsteps echoes through the house. Lisa wakes up, hearing the noise.
LISA (whispering) Mark, did you hear that?
MARK (groggy) It’s probably just the house settling.
LISA (sitting up) No, it sounded like footsteps.
CUT TO:
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Lisa tiptoes into the living room. The doll is no longer on the shelf. She looks around, her heart pounding. Suddenly, she hears a giggle behind her. She turns around to see the doll standing on the floor, its eyes glowing red.
LISA (screaming) Mark!
Mark rushes into the room, but the doll is back on the shelf, looking innocent.
MARK (confused) What’s wrong?
LISA (pointing) The doll… it moved!
MARK (skeptical) Lisa, it’s just a doll.
CUT TO:
INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER THAT NIGHT
Mark and Lisa are back in bed, but Lisa can’t sleep. She hears the giggle again and decides to investigate. She grabs a flashlight and heads back to the living room.
CUT TO:
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Lisa shines the flashlight around the room. The doll is gone. She hears the giggle again, this time closer. She turns around to see the doll standing right behind her, its face twisted into a sinister grin.
LISA (terrified) What do you want?
DOLL (whispering) Your soul.
The doll lunges at Lisa, and she screams. Mark rushes in, but it’s too late. The doll is gone, and Lisa is lying on the floor, unconscious.
CUT TO:
INT. HOSPITAL ROOM - DAY
Lisa wakes up in a hospital bed, Mark by her side. She looks around, confused.
LISA (weakly) What happened?
MARK (holding her hand) You fainted. The doctors said it was just stress.
LISA (shaking her head) No, it was the doll. It’s cursed.
MARK (sighing) We’ll get rid of it.
CUT TO:
EXT. OLD TOY SHOP - DAY
Mark and Lisa returned to the toy shop, but it was
abandoned. The windows are boarded up, and the sign is gone. They look at each other, realizing the shopkeeper was never real.
